Why Should I Purchase the UBL’s Program that is not specific to my State?

The truth regarding this matter, UBL is specifically designed in content to encompass each state's examination. You may not be aware that all states have adopted the International Residential Code requirements in residential and construction building.  Every states follows the International Code Council’s guidelines and then States create codes books to require builders and contractors to follow the same.  We have researched these code requirements and apply them to all 50 states that test for a builder’s license or general contractor license. We have researched the regulations and necessary content very thoroughly and found a minimum difference from state to state.  No program on the market today will have exact worded or actual questions that will meet any State testing service content. The truth here is the questions are 97% designed in general constructions and building practices.  The remaining 3% differences are based on, in state regulations that are easily provided in the Business/Law material included in most purchased programs or courses. We believe through our comparison analysis that our UBL program is very close and similar to some actual questions and superior in content to other programs and courses offered in the market today.

Does the UBL program material come as a physical product or printable?

No, but it is printable once it has been downloaded to your computer’s hard-drive. UBL program comes as a digital downloadable file.  It’s best to download it on to your computer’s hard-drive. The file will use extensive space on a mobile device and will become difficult to work with and print out.  It is recommended that the purchaser print out practice Preptest for effective study. It is always better to study with a hard copy, because it can be highlighted, marked and circled for learning purposes. We also suggest that the purchaser burn a back-up copy of the UBL program to several CD-ROMs. Also, keep in mind that most states allow open book examinations, which is quite different than our material. The purchaser should check into the open book policy prior to their state examinations and do the appropriate research as to what state related books will be helpful during the examination. Most related books can be purchased online.

How is UBL’s material formatted?

As mentioned prior, it’s best to download the UBL program on to a desktop or laptop computer, then the only required software you need for our download is Adobe Reader. Most computer systems today automatically come with Adobe Reader.  If for some reason you don’t have Adobe Reader it can be downloaded FREE at Adobe.com. Our material is in the PDF-file format.  It’s simple and easy to use. Simply right-click on any prep-test exam or other content and then select "open with" to navigate to Acrobat reader and click on it.  It’s viewable on either Windows or Mac platforms and does not require any internet connection.  We do not recommend or support downloading the UBL program to mobile devices. The UBL program download includes MP-3 audio files that explains math problems in the Math Center. Easy to use, just right click and open.

How long will it take for me to prepare for my State Examinations?

We recommend four to seven weeks of study time, because most people do not study every day. This material can be absorb best when one is not rushed to learn. The purchaser must keep in mind that they are studying for two major examinations. It is recommended that the purchaser prep for the Builder/Trade/Practices examination first. The purchaser should take the Builder/Trade/Practices exam first, then study an additional two weeks for the Business/Law prior to taking it.  This is the most effective way of conquering the total process.  Many of our purchasers have agreed that it worked best for them. The purchaser of our material must spend hours weekly to be successful in passing their state exams. The Builders/Trade/Practices exam is normally a 100 questions in 150 minutes to complete, with 73 correct answers. Your Examination Monitor will work with you prior to the start of the timed exam.

Does the UBL Program Qualify as a Pre-licensing Program in some States?

No, UBL does not qualify as a pre-licensing program in any state. We are only aware of the State of Michigan having a 60 hour Pre-licensing program.  We have not submitted our program to the State of Michigan, construction licensing bureau to qualify as 60 hour pre-licensing course. Our program is not a course to be taught in a classroom at this time. It is more of a self-initiative study program that is simplified, in that if a purchaser study it for 4 to 7 weeks he or she could go through the material at least five times with a depth of understanding and pass the exams.  Special Note: If you are a Michigan Resident seeking a builders license this program will not qualify you as having passed the Michigan 60 hour Pre-licensing Program.  To avoid any confusion we do not attempt to sell our UBL program in Michigan for that purpose.  Further, we do not recommend that Michigan residence purchase the UBL program with the intent to qualify as a 60 hour Pre-licensing program.  However, our UBL program information is very strong throughout the nation.
